Send Søri to Oxford!

How about a little good news? I am delighted to announce that I have been accepted as a Scholar in Residence at the Kilns, C.S. Lewis’s residence in Oxford, England! I’ll be heading over there for about three weeks, probably on November 16th. I will be using the Kilns as my base of operations while I pursue research at the Bodleian libraries. Just think: I might be staying in Lewis’s own room! Or Warnie’s, or Mrs. Moore’s, or the servants’ quarters. Probably that latter, haha.

While I’m there, I hope to crank out drafts of the Inklings lectures for The Great Courses. There are manuscripts to consult, books I can’t get elsewhere, and (most importantly) the blessed silence of the Radcliffe Camera, one of my happy places.

But it’s going to be expensive! There’s the cost of my flight, then the price-per-night at the Kilns, and other travel expenses. Can we co-inhere?? Can I count you into my glorious community of patrons? I have the most splendid Author’s Circle a writer could ever dream of having: A small, select, intelligent, good-looking group of close friends who are very Inklings-ish indeed! We gather twice a month to share works in progress, give encouragement, and provide feedback. You are warmly invited to join us! Or a one-time gift could help towards sending me off into my earthly Eden to write and write in blissful silence in one of my favorite spots on earth.

I would be very, very grateful for your help. If you can assist, please head over to my Buy Me A Coffee page to get the details. Bless you! <3
